[NEW SINGLE RELEASE - LOOKIN' BACK]
There's something hot for the summer next to come and your vacations... A new single of mine is out today on the 5th of June!
Be sure to download a copy on bandcamp : https://franzrobertwild.bandcamp.com/
It's a folk song, mixed with pop and rock. Lyrics are also of interest, the subject being based on a novel of H.G. Wells and talks about hope of a better future in a troubled world.
I'm very proud to have guest playing in addition of my friend Oli Le Baron who plays several tracks on it. Recording for this song have started during last december. I just recorded a guitar and a vocal, then. Oli plays bass and several tracks of guitars (acoustic and electric).
Last month I've added several tracks to the first layer of work. Davis Mourgues who plays on 3 song of the first album has joined us for a session to record his drums with its unique feeling. Gerry Carter who lives in the area is playing several tracks of violin. Manu Bertrand a very handed guy I play with since 2012 has sent me a track for the banjo, all the way from La Rochelle where he lives. I'm also delighted to have recorded the penny whistle of Jacob Fournel (From the famous french band Doolin') -It was a delight to be with him for 2 hours. I want to express my deep appreciation for their help and support !
For this special occasion, a second version of the single is released on a compilation with a Celtic mix. This is the compilation "BEST OF AIR D'IRLANDE 2007-2017". The Festival "AIR D'IRLANDE" had me playing as an extended guest in 2012 (being plain that my first album wasn't irish at all). But the programmer Patrick Bernardin is a big supporter of my music since this period. This version is very much into celtic with a mix being fair with the Violin of Gerry Carter and the Penny whistle of Jacob Fournel, not forgeting the banjo of Manu Bertrand. Alejandro Riquelme went out for the final mix with myself.
